I’m sure you’ve seen your friends on the Internet post articles from Snopes.com. With some lame “Fact Check” or “False” claim with little to no real research, some with no explanation. Just the words “false”.
We get it, it feels super good to feel that you’re right.
This works super well on people that just want fast reassurance that their opinion is correct to try to disprove people in online arguments.
Snopes has raised over $1 million dollars in some panhandling GoFundMe scam pretending like it costs a lot of money to run a website and somehow they need your money now to be saved: https://www.gofundme.com/f/savesnopes
Which is weird, because the owner was divorced from his wife (and former co-owner of Snopes) for spending nearly a hundred-thousand dollars on prostitutes and trips to exotic places…
These accusations of CEO David Mikkelson’s mismanagement of money are nothing new. According to divorce documents and reported by the Daily Mail, David Mikkelson’s ex-wife, Barbara Mikkelson, who served as Bardav’s bookkeeper, says during the course of a four-year period her ex-husband David Mikkelson embezzled $98,000 on prostitutes and personal expenses.
Snopes is currently owned by David Mikkelson and his prostitute wife, Erin O’Bryn. (that he divorced his last wife for.) They have no actual researchers and have no real methods of fact-checking.
Do your own homework and don’t believe something just because a website says it’s true. A website post is just a person’s opinion. Even if it’s “Snopes”. Don’t even believe this article. Do your own homework.
P.S. Below is a photo and video of the co-owner of Snopes as an escort and amateur porn star.
And this is a video of the co-owner of Snopes on XVIDEOS (NSFW): https://www.xvideos.com/video14771523/erin_o_bryn
